On March 25, 2022, the delegation of Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED), led by Director Dr. Ai Songheang, visited SIBT. SEAMEO TED is one of the 26 SEAMEO centers, which is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It assists SEAMEO member countries in identifying technical education problems and finding alternative solutions for sustainable human resource development through technical education. On February 16, 2022, SIBT held the opening ceremony for the  2021 year students and 20 freshman students enrolled in business management, information technology and logistics management attended the ceremony. After the meeting, students visited school library, IT laboratory, and teleconference center.  

On February 1, 2022, Cao Jianjiang, the general manager of Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone (SSEZ), visited SIBT. Mr Cao, on behalf of all the staff of SSEZ, introduced the development and achievements of the industry park, extended sincere greetings and wishes to all the faculty and students of the Institute for the Chinese Lunar New Year, and hoped both parties would collaborate more firmly to promote the development of economy and education of the community. Now the Institute offers three majors of four year full time bachelor degree programs in business management, information technology, and logistics management, with 80 students registered. On February 1, 2021, SIBT held the opening ceremony of 2020 year students. Thirty six freshman students enrolled in the majors of business management, information technology and logistics management shared this important moment.  

In July 2019, the staff of SIBT visited 7 high schools in Preah Sihanouk province in two weeks before the end of the final semester of 12 year grade, building up a good connection with the local high schools. In December 2020, under strict measurements for protection and prevention against Covid-19, the staff of SIBT announced the recruitment policy of new students in the enterprises of SSEZ and all the high schools in Preah Sihanouk province. On July 31, 2020, Dr. Nith Bunlay, Deputy General Director of    the Higher Education Department of MoEYS was invited to visit the Institute and strengthen the guidance on Covida-19 prevention and school reopening measurements.
